Farmhouse Tavern opened in July of 2013 and is the second restaurant under the Farmheads name located at 703 Church St. in Evanston.  As a farm to tavern restaurant, Farmhouse makes all of its burgers, condiments, and sodas from scratch, incorporating produce and fresh ingredients from Brown Dog Farm into their menu and working with Midwest farmers from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin to create food and drink you can feel good about.

Originating in 2011 with the opening of Farmhouse Tavern in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, Farmheads is a hospitality group with the mission of offering affordable, approachable Midwestern fare based on locally sourced and sustainable ingredients. In the almost 10 years since opening doors to Farmhouse Chicago, operating partners Ferdia Doherty and TJ Callahan have grown that first location into a series of concepts (Farmhouse Evanston, Farm Bar in Lakeview, Farmheads Galley Kitchen) with a shared vision of utilizing the bounty available within a four state footprint of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan.
